I'd like to recommend two other blogs that deal with the rationalist approach to Judaism. One is ParshaBlog, by Rabbi Josh Waxman. He analyzes many issues relating to rationalist Judaism, always with great thoroughness and levelheaded analysis.
Another is a new blog on the block: RationalistMedicalHalacha. I know the author, and he is an outstanding person, so I am very much looking forward to reading whatever he is going to write!
Exploring the legacy of the rationalist Rishonim (medieval Torah scholars), and various other notes, by Rabbi Dr. Natan Slifkin, director of The Biblical Museum of Natural History in Beit Shemesh. The views expressed here are those of the author, not the institution.

Thank you Rabbi Slifkin.
ReplyDeleteWould you be able to put links to these blogs on the right-hand side of your blog under "Blogs I Recommend"? And, in case some of us missed any recommendations in earlier posts, you can list others there as well.
Thank you!
(And I remember your suggesting a good website for backing up/storing data, can you add that to your list also? Thanks!)
Josh is perhaps THE gadol hador of the blogosphere. Check out his blog on the Rif too. Runners up include SeforimBlog and of course OntheMain Line (which for some time I suspected was also Josh).
ReplyDeleteI should also point out that Josh's blog singlehandedly returned me to studying the parsha after years of neglect.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to the fascinating discussions on relevant medical halachic issues at that blog! And I personally think it will have an even greater impact than its author is expecting.
