Wouldn't it be great if chassidishe kids, totally isolated from society, would learn about the wider world? Wouldn't it be great if they would learn to be able to learn from people outside of their community?Wouldn't it be great if secular Jews could appreciate that Judaism is about much more than just synagogue and holidays?
Wouldn't it be great to have a way to bring the most arcane parts of Torah to life?
There's a place that does all of this, and more. It's the Biblical Museum of Natural History. We've hosted nearly 50,000 visitors from across the spectrum of society, and we are poised to move into a much larger facility and scale up our operations dramatically!

Shalo,I'm pretty knew on this blog and therefore I would like to know what is your view and the view of rationalists about the doctrine so many Jews believe in nowadays (which I thinks come from the Ari) that a part of Hashem is present in the soul of every single Jew. Is this doctrine accepted by all,or are there Jews who reject it and believe Hashem is NOT present within our souls?Thanks.
ReplyDeleteA Rambam-like view would be that human intellect is the thing in us that most closely resembles God, so any statement me referring to divinity in man (like Ztelem Elokim) would be referring to that.

Shnorring is shnorring, even if it's in a different style. The same goes for the Israeli Government with their shnorring from the US Jewish Federations and private people to donate tanks and whatnot.
Seems like you found a nice workaround by calling it a "Foundation". We know all about it, oldest trick in the book. Just hope the IRS doesn't audit you.
