Did you see the show?

Did you see "Beasts of the Bible"? I still haven't! If you saw it, please can you tell me which of the sequences that they filmed with me actually appeared? (They filmed me with dolphins, rhino, crocodiles, hippo, vultures, salamander, oryx, and possibly others that I don't remember.) And if you recorded it, do you have a way to send it to me, preferably electronically? The producers will send me a copy, but that may take a while, and I'm itching to see it!

  1. I started watching it with my wife, but she thought the program was a little too hokey (especially the narrator) and so I'll have to continue it later without her! Overall, the show is high on fluff and low on meat. I did see your segment on the fire salamander, and it was the only segment (at least so far) that provided real, interesting information.

  2. I saw most of it last night. Overall, it was very well done and informative. Your parts especially were loaded with information. Of the parts I saw, you were featured with the salamander, crocodile, hippo, and vulture. There may have been others but I was unable to see the entire program.

  4. I did see it! I was a little distracted, but I remember seeing your name. You were in a prairie, and you were talking about Behemoth, and either hippos or rhinos, maybe both. Mazel Tov! My husband and I really enjoyed the program.

  5. I just finished watching the show. I have two questions: How can a Tanin be a Crocodile according to the famous Ibn Ezra who said that the צפרדע were crocodiles, לכאורה they should be two different animals? And also, who can the נשר be a Griffon Vulture if I remember correctly Rashi in Chumash uses the word Vulture for a different bird? (If you discussed this elsewhere, my apologizes, just give me the ma'areh makom. I read your books a long time ago, so if it's there I wouldn't remember...)

  6. I just saw it, and it had you with the salamander, the hippo, the dino/behemoth, the vulture, and the crocodile. Overall, I didn't like the show, as it overemphasized multimedia presentations and over-dramatization. I don't have a recording of it, but it might be available online somewhere.

  7. OK, finished it. I especially liked the crocodile segment, as it explained why - on numerous levels - crocodiles made much more sense than snakes. The discussion of the makos was pretty good also. But I felt that the presentation was a bit annoying. I couldn't stand the narrator, and the special effects were overdone. You were very good on the program.
